The Boys is the third Korean studio album and the fourth overall by Girls' GenerationLee Soo-man, former chairman of the group's agency, served as the executive producer of the album. 

The album was released on "October 19, 2011", by S.M. Entertainment, and was distributed in South Korea by KMP Holdings.

The comeback that delayed other artists comeback and beaten boy group's in terms of Charts and Sales, The album was the best-selling by a Korean girl group on Gaon for almost a Decade.
